Coffee and Discussions on Safety, Philosophy, Religion, and Art

What do you want to discuss over a good cup of coffee? Here is where you can do that. But sometimes an old crusty master sergeant and professor wants to have his way.

Gender Neutral Restrooms? Are we ready for those?

Woke up with a lot on my mind. I need to put the notebook back next to the bed.
I was thinking about... And then I see some discussion on Twitter about gender neutral restrooms. A far cry from my initial thoughts. But caused me to think about my travels to various parts of the world.
Maybe cause one of my ponderings was related to a previous career field and Thailand. Although the door may have indicated it was male or female, the doors led into the same room. The stalls had doors and the urinal was an open trough. Hard for this city kid to get used to, aaahhhh, was that the house girl passing through? what the.....
Philippines had some interesting accommodations as did Japan depending on whether you were in the country or city.
Honduras, yes, open areas with just a privacy screen about 4' high. Flashbacks to Thailand as you see female colleagues pass while hanging out with the guys.
What show was it, Ally McBeal? that had the open squat and run?
Come to think of it I was at a university here in MD that had a door marked restroom and it was all stalls, floor to ceiling of course reminding me of that show, not sure if they were sound proofed. But no different than listening to what sounded like pigs grunting penetrating the walls where I work. All I could think is that girl needs to change her diet.
