Where has the year gone?
I guess it is time for an update.
I was laid off from the place of full time employment. Crazy. Not that I expected to stay there because I had a boss that threatened to fire me about every other week. To the point I got a part-time adjunct position teaching just in case. What was it? Oh yea, a chicken dinner. Dave and I ate a chicken dinner and that just sent things over the side of the ship.
But that is not why I was laid off. The reason was the economic downturn and the lack of support from donors. Easy to say when you are walking out the door.
So for safety, I am just hanging in waiting for opportunities to excel.
Two my our daughters were married. Some would say that there should have been a double wedding, but I believe that each needed to celebrate in their own way.
So I do have a couple of sons-in-law that are good to be around or have around. Especially when it comes time to smoke a cigar or two.
With one marriage we acquired 3 grandchildren. So that makes it real easy for me to get out and have some fun.
Well, more to come.
